One update and two recommendations…

The Update: Spay Hampton Roads continues to offer spay/neuter surgeries for residents of our target areas. The delivery of those surgical services, though, has changed. While the veterinary care is top notch, we miss the hectic clinic mornings and meeting all of the wonderful people and pets taking part in our program. As we can, we will share updates. For now, though, please visit our Facebook page for updates from Norfolk Pet Project participants. If you have had a pet spayed/neutered through SpayHR, please share your pictures and stories there.

The Recommendations: This is a quick shout out to two great blogs we’re reading.

Waggin’ Tails – We’re long time fans of this blog. It’s a tremendous local (and beyond) resource for animal welfare, health, safety, etc. issues. Readers can regularly find information about recalls, weekly fundraising and adoption events, and more!

The Wet Nose blog, from Pets for Patriots – Military personnel and families a well as shelter and rescue staff can appreciate informative posts on issues such as “Re-homing your responsibly and humanely.” There are also awesome adoption stories to brighten your day.
