Spay/neuter surgeries on September 28, 2012

Yesterday, ten dogs and cats were spayed/neutered through our Norfolk Pet Project.

Maui settling in on the trip from East Ocean View

One of our volunteers transported Maui, a six month old cutie scheduled for neutering. As is so often the case, Maui comes from a home already caring for other dogs and cats – all rescues. We are thrilled to be working with this family to help them spay/neuter all of their animal companions. Maui is also from Ocean View, one of our target areas with the best participation.  Please see our Facebook page for pictures of Princess (also from OV) and Pebbles.

Spay/neuter surgeries from yesterday were covered under our PetsMart grant, with supplemental funding generously provided by Animal Rescue of Tidewater and Friends of Norfolk Animal Care Center.

The delivery of spay and neuter surgeries has changed, but we will try to post updates as we can. If you have had a dog or cat spayed/neutered through our program, we would love to hear from you on our Facebook page.
