Spay/Neuter — Now

With the official start of Spring just five days away, it’s not too early to prepare for kitten season, when shelters will be inundated with pregnant cats and litters of kittens.

These kittens need homes!

As the saying goes, the best defense is a good offense: Spay/Neuter…and please don’t wait. Too often, we we see one cat that needs to be spayed. Life happens, and we forget or don’t find time to follow up. The kittens come, the situation becomes more urgent, and there are five (or more) times as many cats in need.

While the logistics of our surgery services have changed, Spay HR continues to help local residents with spay and neuter. Please contact us for more information and assistance. Additionally, our region has a number of local, low-cost clinics.

  1. DO you have any specials that help people that live off from disability that can’t afford the $50 to get a kitten fixed because she wouldn’t be able to pay her bills? I am asking for my daughter that lives in Portsmouth churchland area and she only gets by with me helping too .. Please if there is any cheaper or anything let me know.
    thank you for your time.
